Tales of Valoris
Tales of Valoris is a Plants vs Zombies like Tower Defense Game made in Unity. The gameplay focuses on area control, resource management, leveling up characters, and battling waves of different enemy types, alongside powerful and unique bosses. I was the Lead Level Designer and Lead QA Tester for the game, with my main focus being of balancing both the player characters and enemies across 3 different difficulties. This included board size, enemy spawn rate, attack damage, summon cooldown, and summon cost.
Original Release for Apple and Android phones. Created play area and character select screen. Ensured all characters and enemies were properly balanced. Tested all 3 difficulties for 20 level, including 4 unique bosses.
Full Release for Steam. Added game mechanics like leveling up characters and moving characters to different tiles during play. Added 20 more levels, 4 more bosses, and a bunch of new characters and enemies. Balance was much more in depth with the addition of the level up system, resulting in all 40 levels needing a rehaul.
